PRP Facial ( Vampire Facial)

What is the PRP Facial

The vampire facial, also known as the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial, includes drawing blood from your arm, separating the platelets, and then injecting them into your skin via microneedling. The Esthetician runs the needle pen over your face while squirting the platelets into the mini injection holes. Since the platelets are high in growth hormone, and the microneedling stimulates the skin to regenerate, the entire procedure is meant to aid cell turnover.  The results are meant to mimic a facelift, but with zero downtime.  At Blair Med Spa we offer the PRP facial

Micro needling alone increases the skin’s new collagen and remodel old deforming collagen which is found in scars and wrinkles. Old frayed deforming collagen is associated with wrinkles, acne scars, scars, large pores and stretch marks. Micro needling makes facial skin look youthfully thicker and reduces signs of aging,

While the PRP is being prepared, your skin will be cleansed and prepared for the treatment. The injections take a few moments, and are only mildly uncomfortable. The procedure is quick (25 minutes total), painless, and requires no post procedure care or time off from daily events. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising fade within 1-3 days. The PRP is made from your own cells, virtually eliminating the possibility of negative side effects.

The goal of PRP skin rejuvenation therapy is to improve skin tone and texture, tighten skin, soften lines and pores. Results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. Three treatment sessions are generally recommended. Depending on the skin issue.

Microneedling and PRP therapy can be used to treat the following concerns:

Fine to moderate wrinkles in the face

Mild to moderate acne scarring

Photo-damaged skin

Stretch marks

Volume loss in face
